Playing Catch Up...

It has been super crazy around the Harward household! We sold and moved out of our very first house!! We loved our first home, but it was time to move on. We are building our home in Eagle Mountain and we LOVE it!! It's just framed right now, but we can't wait to move in!! Right now we are living with my parents and Dawson and Logan have been loving it!! They get to see Mimi and Grumpa everyday! 😄

Now I'm going to catch up on the little best things that have come out of our little guys mouths and fun things that they have done, too!

- Dawson came upstairs the other morning to go potty after a long nights sleep. Mimi was getting ready for work and she asked him if he needed help zipping up his jammies. He told her no and said, "My mom is the best helper in the world with my jammies!" My heart melted when my mom told me that!! 😍

-I was putting Dawson to bed and he was not wanting me to leave his room. He has been having a hard time falling asleep lately. He asked me for a blessing (sweetest request!!!!!) and I lovingly explained that I don't hold the Priesthood like daddy, so I couldn't give him a blessing, but I told him that we could say an extra prayer that night to help him feel better and to feel at peace to go to sleep. We said our prayer and as soon as I ended the prayer Dawson says to me with a peaceful face, "Mom, I feel the Holy Ghost! My eyes are watery and I feel warm and fuzzy and good!" I cannot tell you how comforting that was to hear from him! My 4 year old recognized the feeling of the spirit! That was one of the most rewarding experiences! So WONDERFUL!!! I love the Gospel and for the peaceful feelings you get throughout life living the Gospel. This moment I had with Dawson really strengthened my testimony! The Church is true!! I truly hope and pray that he will always remember that feeling and want that in his life as he grows!

-Logan can SCREAM. Lot just a tiny little scream. No- Ear piercing, glass breaking screaming!!!! Oh my gosh!!! If we don't feed him fast enough, he will just scream until our ears fall off of our head. Haha!!! Crazy boy.

-Logan loves to look at himself in mirrors, talk to himself, giggle at himself, sing to himself, and is just the CUTEST little guy you've ever seen!!! 😍

-Dawson was helping Mimi out in the garden the other day and she explained that the snails were eating her Hosta plants. Dawson came running in to tell me and this is what he said... "Mom!! The snails are eating Mimi's pasta's!!!!" Haha!!!!!! 😂 Another cute word mixup he had said recently is "Pasquito" for "Mosquito". Oh my goodness, he just melts my heart with all of his sincere innocence!

- Logan loves waving to anyone and everyone! He always waves to cars that drive by, or in the store to people, he is just so sweet and social!

- Logan loves to play games! He puts his Binky behind him and we grab it and put it on top of his head and we do that over and over with lots of giggles and slobbery kisses! He also loves putting blankets on his head to play peek-a-boo! Oh goodness!!

I love being Dawson and Logan's mom!! They are my greatest blessings!! ❤❤❤

Gone Too Long!

I haven't written in the looonest time and honestly, I'm sick to my stomach. Dawson and Logan have done and said so many great things, and I haven't written down any of them. I know I have forgotten a lot! I'm feeling so sad! I NEED to be better at this, and I will be.
Here are a few things that have been done/said over the past few months.

-Dawson tells me that I'm beautiful every. single. day. It melts my heart!!!!!! And don't worry, I make sure to tell him how handsome he is, too! ;)
- Logan just had his 9 month appt today and he needed to get his second dose of his flu shot. Dawson quietly whispered to Logan, "It's ok buddy, you can be brave!" Best big brother, ever!!
-Dawson is ALWAYS kissing Logan. It's so sweet! Every once in a while we have to tell him that he needs to stop smooching him so much. ;) But really, that's not the truth. It's so sweet watching them together!
-Dawson and Logan are REALLY starting to bond. Not that they never did before, but now it's an interactive bond, I guess you could call it. Dawson makes funny faces, Logan laughs hysterically! Dawson makes funny noises, Logan laughs hysterically! Dawson walks by, Logan laughs  hysterically! Dawson loves that Logan laughs at him! Their little laughs together are the best noises I will ever hear!
-Dawson is really into Lightning McQueen and Santa brought him lots of Lightning McQueen toys and slippers, and he had mentioned to Jake and I a couple of times how happy and how grateful he is that Santa brought him these toys!  Yes, he actually uses the word, "grateful"- my not so little boy! He is using way big words! Like steep. He knew what it meant and everything. He even used it in a sentence! HA! He has used lots of other big words, some correctly, some not so correctly. ;)
-Logan is just a little ball of joy. Pure joy. He is always sooooo happy and smiley! He makes my heart BURST!!!! He isn't crawling yet (little stubborn guy) but he is steam rolling EVERYWHERE. HAHA and he loves to stand. So I'm thinking we are going to skip this whole crawling thing and go right to walking. He's already not following the "rules". ;) Logan is the most chill baby you'll ever meet!
-Logan loves to flap his arms so fast... It honestly looks like he is trying to fly away like a bird. Haha and he loves to point his cute little chubby fingers at things he sees. He says (screams) dadadadadada and num-num-num, and mamamamamama! And, of course, he just loves to scream at the top of his lungs. It's joyous when he does that in sacrament meeting... ;)
-Logan can eat, and eat, and eat! HOLY COW!!!!! How he is only in the 2% for weight just boggles my mind! Like today, for example, he totally downed a whole container of banana carb master yogurt and a whole, half of a grilled cheese sandwich, PLUS a 6oz bottle. FOR LUNCH. Haha, he's my good eater, that's for sure. :)
-Dawson started nursery last Sunday, January 3rd, 2016. Say whaaaaat?? My Dawson is a SUNBEAM IN PRIMARY???? How did this happen? He had been so excited to go to primary! His magical day was finally here- he got to go to primary. He met his teachers and immediately started telling stories. Oh I just love his personality. One of those stories being about his little brother, Logan of course!! (My mom heart is full!!!) During the last hour, they all meet in the big primary room. I peeked in to watch him in all his glory and to cry a little, too. I cried because of how proud I am of him, and because I couldn't believe how big he is getting! When he saw me peeking through the window, he motioned with his arms and mouth, "No mom! Go back, go back. I'm fine!!!!" His teacher looked at me and laughed and I laughed. He's definitely independent and clearly DID NOT want me to take him away from primary. He loved every single minute of it!
-Dawson is sassy. Seriously, he really is. When he is upset, he tells us like it is. He looks at us, with all seriousness in his face, and says, "Mom and dad, if you say that one more time, you're going to time out." Oh boy... He says a lot of crazy things that make me scratch my head, but I'm trying to enjoy it. Haha. (I totally am enjoying, it!!!)

There are TONS more things, but it's 12:31 am and my brain is foggy. So I'm going to retire to bed and I will write more soon! :)

Because I'm Still Three...

That is Dawson's excuse lately if he doesn't want to do something or eat something. Here are just a few examples...
1. Me: "Dawson, will you please pick up your toys?" Dawson: "No, mom. I can't, because i'm still three years old."
2. Me: "Dawson you need to eat your dinner. If you don't eat, you are going to be so hungry for bed. Please eat so you can grow big and strong and be so healthy." Dawson: "No but I can't, because i'm still three."
3. Me: "Hey Dawson, before we can go outside to play, you need to put on your shoes. We can't go outside barefoot because you can get hurt." Dawson: "I can't get hurt if I go outside barefoot because i'm not four, yet. I'm still just three."
4. The neighbor boy tried to give Dawson a little bag of fruit snacks and I heard Dawson say, "No thanks. I don't want any right now because i'm three years old."

There have been a bajillion more times he has used this excuse, but those ones above are just a few of my favorites.

Gold

Dawson has, unfortunately, picked up the habit of picking his nose. :/ I knew it would happen sooner or later. Yuck. The other day we were driving in the car and I looked back to check on the boys and I saw Dawson picking his nose. I asked him to please stop and he said in all seriousness, "No mom. I'm looking for gold."  Oh Dawson. :)

Special Brother Bond

It honestly doesn't matter what the age difference is, brothers have such a special bond from day one. It is AMAZING to witness this first hand with my two boys! Logan loves Dawson so much and he instantly smiles when he sees or hears Dawson in the same room. Dawson is a natural protector, too. He doesn't like it one bit when someone he doesn't know well, will hold Logan. He's not afraid to tell them that they can't hold his little brother. Another time was when Logan had a check up and Dawson was holding his hand and telling him, "Shhh it's ok baby. Don't be scared. The doctor is nice."

These brothers LOVE to play peek-a-boo. Dawson gets out a blanket and plays with Logan any chance he can get. I love hearing their giggles. It is the sweetest sound in the whole wide world.

Being a mommy of two boys is the greatest blessing. I'm already having the time of my life watching them grow up. I can only imagine it gets even better as they get older.

Logan Toots!

Logan tooted the other day so incredibly loud. It was a grown man fart. Not kidding. Well it scared him and he looked at me with scared eyes and started bawling. It was so sweet and sad at the same time.

Snuggle

Dawson can be such a snuggle bug when he wants to be. I sooo wish he was snuggly, but I do cherish the moments when he agrees to snuggle with me! :) The other morning he climbed into my bed around 6:30 am. (he does this every morning, I hope he never outgrows this) When he climbed in he said in a cute, morning breath whisper, "Mom, wanna snuggle with me?" It was so cute and it melted my heart! I love me some Dawson snuggles! I can't wait until Logan is older and can snuggle in bed with us, too! He is still tiny!

Boogers and Running Out of Air.

The other day Dawson came to me in a worried voice and said, "Oh mom. My nose is running out of air because I have really big boogers up there." He is so cute.

My Tummy Is Talking To Me.

Dawson was going to the bathroom and I came into the bathroom to see if he was almost done and to wipe his bum. Dawson said, "No, mom. I'm not done pooping. My tummy is talking to me and it said that I still have 3 more poops to come out." :)

So Innocent

Dawson- "Eeew, that's risgustin'." Thats his word for 'disgusting'. Haha he is so sweet! :)

Talkin' Like A Doctor

The other day we were driving home from the store and the sun was shining so bright right into Dawson's window. Out of nowhere he says, "Mom, if I look at the sun too long it will hurt my cornea." He said it just so matter of fact. Haha I, of course, couldn't hold in my laughter. He's too much! I just love him!

1 Mile, Baby!

Jake's incredible mom, Lisa, ran her very first half marathon (13.1 miles) and rocked it! We are crazy proud of her and all of her accomplishments! She inspired Jake and I to run a half marathon in October. Its called The Haunted Half and we are scared, excited, nervous and more excited! WE WILL DO THIS!!!!! Anyways, tonight was my first training. We went to Herriman High School to run in their track. Dawson ended up running THE ENTIRE TIME with me!!!! He ran 1 whole mile all by himself and didn't stop once to smell the roses. He just kept running and running, in flip flops I might add. Next time we'll know to put him in tennis shoes! We have a future runner on our hands! :)

Scary Lightning Storm

Tonight there was a pretty impressive lightning storm that had really bright flashes of lightning and huge BOOMS immediately after. I was loving it, but Dawson on the other hand was not. I kept needing to tuck him in and giving kisses and hugs and reminding him that he was safe in his warm and cozy house. I gave him one of his favorite stuffed animals, Daniel Tiger and told him that he will keep him safe and to snuggle him. Dawson then looked at me and said, "No mom, Jesus Christ will keep me safe!" I looked at him and just smiled and said, "You are absolutely right!" He teaches me wonderful things everyday like faith, courage, and to NEVER give up. I love him so and I am so proud that he already has his own true testimony of Christ! That is the besr feeling, ever!

Long Time, No See

I am so sad that I haven't updated this in almost a year! Shame on this momma! The last time I posted was clear back in July of last year, right before the pregnancy sickness hit me. In the early stages of pregnancy, ok lets be honest, my whole entire pregnancy I am so sick. I can hardly make it off the couch, let alone take care of my family. It's really hard but I am so grateful for these sweet babes! We had our little love, Logan, on April 1st 2015. What a blessing he has been to our family, we love him so much! Watching both of our boys together is definitely the cherry on top! It's simply amazing! So that is why I have neglected my blog... until now that is. I really need to keep this up so I can remember all of the funny, not so funny, and sweet things my boys say. (Well it will be a little while before Logan starts talking!) ;)
Here are a few funny things that I can remember:
1. In a very manly and confident voice Dawson says, "Mom, I'm a grown up man, now you can take off my training wheels!"
2. As he wakes up from his nap, Dawson (very loudly) announces, "Crazy boy coming down the stairs!"
3. Dawson (being the 3 year old that he is) was having a major tantrum the other day because his green cup was not clean and he had to drink from his blue cup. I told him if he didn't end this temper tantrum that we were not going to Mimi's house. He immediately stopped and looked at me with very concerened eyes and said very dramatically, "Noooo mom!! I have to see Mimi, I just love her so much!" The temper tantrum ended.
4. "Mom, you are my very best friend, and dad is my very special friend and Logan is my very special brother!"
5. It was Dawson's 3rd bday and we asked him what he wanted for his birthday dinner. We gave him a few suggestions such as pizza, chicken and fries (Wendy's happy meal), etc. He said he just wanted Mac N Queso. That's what we call macaroni and cheese and that is exactly what he got. ;) He is a very easily pleased little boy.
6. Halloween was coming up and we asked Dawson what he wanted to be for Halloween. We for sure thought he was going to say something like Mike Wazowski, Woody or Buzz. But he chirped right up and said, "I want to be a hot dog!!" Amazon came to the rescue and we got him his hot dog costume! Jake and I were very surprised by his choice in costume, but boy oh boy, he was the cutest little hot dog, ever!!
7. Dawson- "Mom, you are beautiful." Me- "Awe thank you so much, Dawson! You are so handsome!!" Dawson- "Yeah I am."
8. "Mom, is Santa going to bring me my Birthday presents?"
9. We were at the grocery store one busy day. I was pushing the shopping cart out of the aisle and I almost ran into another lady's shopping cart. I said excuse me and Dawson said in a very high pitch tone, "Oooh mom! Good manners!"

There are sooo many more, but I can't think of them all at once, so I will keep updating as I remember, and of course all of the new things that Dawson says! :)

1,2,3...

Dawson didn't want me to be making dinner, so he said to me, "Mom, NO! Come play, right now! 1...2...3..." hahaha I couldn't help but laugh! So cute! :)

Good Manners!

The other morning Dawson and I were at Walmart and a lady and I almost collided our shopping carts and I said, "Oh, i'm sorry! Excuse me!" And then Dawson said to me, "Oh mom, good manners!"
Thank you, bud!

Daddy, Warm!

Jake was laying with Dawson the other morning and when Jake rolled over to talk to Dawson, he put his hands on Jake's face/forehead and said, "Oh daddy warm! Take temperature." and he proceeded to put his finger in his armpit! Hahah you can tell he has a mommy who is paranoid and always taking his temperature! ;)

Okie Dokie, Smokey!

Everyone knows the phrase, 'Okie Dokie, Smokey'. Well Dawson has a little stuffed animal that my parents brought back to him from Yellowstone and it is Smokey the Bear. He LOVES him! He has a little hat that comes off and Dawson always has to make sure his hat is with Smokey at all times! If we cant find Smokey's hat before bed, we have to go and find it. Haha anyways, whenever we say, "Okie dokie!", Dawson says right back, "Okie Dokie, Smokey hat!" Hahah he thinks we are talking about Smokey the Bear and his hat! ;)

June 02, 2014

A Tad Bit Embarrassing!

I hope Jake doesn't kill me for posting this, but it was HILARIOUS! Jake was making breakfast and he (tooted) haha and Dawson went over to him, sniffed his bum and ran away and said, "EEEW Stinky daddy! Bum stinky!" We rolled on the floor laughing! It was so funny!

Tummy Hurt

Dawson has had a couple of stomach bugs lately and it came with the barfs! :( So sad to see him feel so miserable! Well he got really good at pulling his shirt up and show us his cute little tummy and say, "Tummy hurt, mommy." It was so sweet just how cute he would say it!

Another thing that he learned with being sick is pretending to throw up in a bowl. Haha it is HILARIOUS and ADORABLE! He brought me a bowl and pretended to cough a few times and looked at me with squinty eyes and said, "Mommy, I 'fro up'." Hahahaha I couldn't help but laugh!!
